Multitools are one-use electronic devices that can manipulate electronic devices, such as circuitry panels and security keypads.  You can use your Multitools to bypass security systems, disable alarms, and unlock electrically-locked doors.

To tamper with an electronic device, aim your crosshairs at it and a box will appear with a bar graph that will tell you how many tools will be needed to bypass the device.  Equip a Multitool in you inventory and use it on the device.  Some may need more than one tool to bypass.  As you increase your skill level in electronics, you can bypass devices faster and less tools will be needed to do so.

Oftentimes you will be required to pick locks.  For this you will need to use disposable Lockpicks.  To pick a lock, equip a Lockpick in your inventory and use it on the locked door.  Some locks may need more than one Lockpick.  The higher your skill level is in lockpicking, the easier it will be to pick locks and less Lockpicks will be needed to get the job done.
