Deus Ex :: Modding :: About
A wonderful thing about Deus Ex is that you can make mods for it.
Mods is short for Modification, like the name means, you make modifications to many sections of the game, this including Maps, Coding, Models etc, anything you edit and make for Deus Ex is a modification.
The reason Deus Ex can have modifications, is because it uses the Unreal Engine. IonStorm released the Deus Ex SDK back in September 22, 2000. The SDK, which you can download in our downloads section, allows you to do many things:

- Make your own maps, both SP and MP.
- Import your own classes, textures, sounds, music and models.
- Export classes, textures, sounds, music and models from packages.
- Make your own conversation for your maps.
- Compile your classes into packages for distribution.

Here at Deus-Ex.Org, we have a modding section to help you and support you in making mods for Deus Ex.
So be sure to check out all of our modding section, learn, modify, and of course, enjoy!
